Nature is fascinating near Ilmatsalu and there is always lot to see in every time of the year. Woods, bogs, rivers, lakes, bonds, birds, animals and bugs are awaiting! Next to the Motel is located Ilmatsalu park, where are 64 different types of trees form what some are native trees.
Just a walk away are Ilmatsalu-Kärevere Bird watching Trail , Green calss and Ilmatsalu bog.
In 40 km radius are Kärevere woods, Lower-Pedja wilderness preserve, with its hiking trails (Selli-Sillaotsa hiking trail and Kirna hiking trail). For bird watchers are interesting to see Aardla polder and lake, Haaslava fishponds, Elva-Vitipalu landscape preserve, Emajõe big-swamp, Vooremaa landscape preserve and Elistvere animal park.
